My name is Nick. I was born into this world 20/6/1979.
My life has dilly-dallied between two cities of Australia over the course of the past thirty years.
I began an idyllic childhood amongst the leafy suburbs of Sydney. Life was football cards, action figurines and lego blocks. However, soon the family Gauci moved northwards. Flash forward some years. After studying Mathematics at university (Brisbane), and realising that those “who can’t do, teach”, I traded in my ambition to be some kind of genius, purchased a calculator, a long ruler and a packet of white board markers, and said hello to the high school world.
Perhaps the biggest part of my life is my conviction that Jesus Christ is everything, by virtue of his life, death and resurrection. He’s the dude. In my best moments I take my cues from him. In my worst I look elsewhere, though I know nothing satisfies like the Dude.
This blog is mainly about my interests though, rather than my faith. So, film, literature, beer and music make repeated appearances within. Ultimately I hope to make this blog an opportunity to reflect on the goodness of God in the world – truth and beauty as well as some holy mischief.
Enjoy.
Does each member of the Gauci family have a web log? I’m going to look for your dad’s web log…
