That’s quite an extensive list! There are people who would shoot you for putting revolver at 97 though.
Also, wouldn’t have of expected to find another Fugazi fan at Bible college. I have all their albums. They were kind of the soundtracks to my life as a skateboarder as a teenager.
i listened to the beatles a heck of a lot in late high school (too much!) and haven’t listened to “revolver” much since then. maybe it’s time to check it out again. in the past i think i’ve got a little bored at some points in the album.
Fugazi are great aren’t they! I love that area of punk (hard-core/angular). Did you ever listen to minor threat?
Huzzah to Marquee Moon for making the Top 5, but I’d have to confirm geoffc’s comment on Revolver – incomprehensible! Still, I have to say I’m digging the diverse list!
thanks for the comment hannah. what can i say in my defense (re: revolver)? my list may be diverse but it is completely subjective.
don’t know if you’ve checked it out but “Odyssey and Oracle” by the Zombies is a 60s pop album i reckon everybody should own. too beautiful (esp. ‘imagine the swan’).
Of course! – “Odessey and Oracle” is a classic and infamously misspelled album of the ’60s. It’s one of those few albums that I almost love every single track on it. My favorite, though, has to be “Brief Candles” – my music blog is actually named after it.
Oh, and in YOUR defense, I do agree that “Odessey and Oracle” is justified in being listed higher than “Revolver” – I guess my only qualm was that Revolver was listed too low (of course, in my own opinion) in the overall list.
